The DataForWind service has been developed in the framework of the project EO-WINDFARM " Eo-based information service for windfarm management", supported by the European Space Agency, within the Earth Observation Market Development (EOMD) programme contract ESRIN/Contract 17736/03/I-IW. The project began on December 1, 2003.
Since January 2005, the DataForWind Service provided an operational service for on-shore data.
The service is improved and maintained by Armines / Ecole des Mines de Paris, Centre Energétique et Procédés (CEP), in Sophia Antipolis, France. Technicals responsibles are Lionel Ménard and Thierry Ranchin. The CEP ensures the sustainability and development of the DataForWind Service. Human, computer and financial resources are engaged for that purpose.
Authors of the original working version are Thierry Poglio and Thierry Ranchin.
